About Us – French Family Montessori

Greetings! I’m Amorette (Amo). Wife to Hubby (FrenchFamilyWorkshop) and mama to identical twin girls, E and V (2019). Upon finding out we were expecting multiples I searched, unsuccessfully, for others who were raising multiples inspired by the Montessori philosophy. So, I started sharing our Montessori journey, from birth, on Instagram–but quickly realized that there was a word limit—haha. So, here we are! Now I’m able to share more in-depth posts and answer questions more thoroughly.

As an Autistic who works with Autistic children and their families, I try to share information that will be beneficial to both neurodivergent and neurotypical households. The coaching I offer is Montessori aligned, there’s no “training” but rather understanding and guiding both parent and child. “I followed these children, studying them, studied them closely, and they taught me how to teach them.” -Maria Montessori

A bit of history: I originally came across Montessori in 2011, when I began helping with my nephew, T. I was amazed at the respect for the child, the independence, being child-centered, and how it focused on the child as a whole. Watching T blossom with Montessori made it a clear choice for when Hubby and I decided to start our family.
